Social Media is prison for the mind

Having blocked the apps for a few hours using tools on the phones and laptops, I found that the mind gets unlocked from a haze and is able to be productive.

Under the trance of social media, the body is not able to perform even the basic functions of keeping the room clean and such. I see so many parallels to other addictive substances.

Recently a court in the US has rejected to dismiss a lawsuit against Meta, which says their platforms Instagram and Facebook are addictive to children and that Meta has hidden the fact that they know about it.

This sounds very close to the lawsuits cigarette companies faced few decades ago. It is now to be seen if Social media websites come with a warning wrapper like cigarettes do and will be banned for those under a certain age.
