too much social media
this week, i spent almost no amount of time on work. Of the 16 hrs of waking time in a day for the last 7 days i spent 15 hrs on either instagram, X or youtube. a few hrs might have gone towards playing mobile games but majorly it was a zombified existence. this period also correlates to my absence from bearblog.
i just deleted both x and instagram from my mobile and have again blocked their and youtubes access from my desktop.
its so strange, it feels like instagram is filling this void of loneliness in my life and feels like X is informing me on the latest and greatest current events.
but, both the sites are emotionally baiting. instagram does a companionship bait, and x does a straight up rage bait. one shows, look how nice it would be if you weren't lonely and the other says look at all the injustice that is happening in the world.
and youtube, is basically rehashing tv shows and movies. i barely get any youtube original content on my feed. and i suspect those like me who access youtube from the browser and not their app get a severely limited experience of the site.
but nonetheless, this is getting out of hand. I need to dial back into reality. It feels like coming out of limbo in the movie inception.
