what is my duty
my job is to do my research and write my thesis, not for the reward of a future job in australia or india or elsewhere, not for the reputation of being a well published author, but for the duty to research my topic.
what are the impacts of emerging technology on ports, just to answer that question is my duty.
i should have not trepidation of what the next tasks and objectives will be, what the future life options will be, if i will do well compared to my peers or if i will succeed in the industry, or succeed with fame and fortune.
all those outcomes need to be renounced. somehow this obligation has come to me, either by design or divine intervention. now i need to take it to its logical end.
the future obligation will come, if that obligation is search for a job, then i will have to do that with the same detachment, with the same mindset of performing the next obligation to an employer or industry stakeholder.
in short, objective is not to chase view counts, like counts, citation counts, degree prestige, conference counts, but to serve the purposes of research as diligently as i can.
